CHOICES is a science and engineering outreach program to inspire middle-school aged girls to continue in the STEM fields (https://engineering.lehigh.edu/choices). Prof. Blocher McTigue, along with Prof. Gilchrist and Prof. Schultz, ran a chemical engineering session showcasing principles in fluids and separations. With the help of the CHOICES mentors and ChBE student volunteers, the girls created paperfuges, played with oobleck, and learned all about surface tension.
