OUR CAMPUS NEEDS YOUR HELP!
Only 1 of our 6 current board members is returning for the 2026–27 school year. Without at least 4 parents to fill positons the PTO will PERMANENTLY dissolve and cannot be restarted in the future. Because the district no longer allows new PTOs for Legacy schools, our group is only able to exist as long as it remains active.
If the PTO goes away, so do the events and support it provides—no Fall Festival, Winter Carnival, Father-Daughter Dance, Restaurant Nights, teacher appreciation, campus beautification, or staff support.
PTO Board nominations are open April 1–30.
Who can run?
• Any parent or legal guardian of a current Legacy student
• Any current Legacy Northwest Tucson employee
How to nominate:
• Complete the PTO Board Nomination Form (link goes live April 1)
• You may nominate yourself or another eligible person (of course, they can decline if they choose).
What happens next:
• Candidates will be posted on the PTO website and We Love Legacy Facebook group
• Nominees provide a name, short bio, and photo
• All nominations must be received by April 30
How elections work:
• Voting runs May 1–7
• The six candidates with the most votes will be elected to the PTO Board
• The Board then appoints officer roles (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Co-Treasurer, Community Outreach Chair - see below for more info)
Results Announced:
• School-Wide PTO Meeting, Thursday, May 14 at 3:30PM in Mrs. Tache's room
• All candidates are encouraged to attend
