We are excited to welcome your family to this school year! 

To ensure a safe and efficient experience, we would like to walk you through what the morning pickup and afternoon drop off carlines look like at our Lower School.  At the city of Frisco’s request, LCA conducted a professional third-party traffic study to reduce congestion and improve arrival and dismissal. The analysis focused on:

• Minimizing backup traffic on main roads

• Enhancing flow for all divisions

• Prioritizing student and staff safety

• Reducing overall congestion on Academy Drive and Stonebrook Drive

• Improving traffic flow for LS, MS, and US families

Based on their expert analysis, in the 2025-2026 school year we implemented our Lower School carline route.  Here are the essentials!   

Lower School car line begins release at 3:05PM.  This helps stagger campus-wide dismissal and enhances the overall flow of our afternoon carlines.  The first few days of school the LS line will begin release earlier as we teach students, staff, and parents the car line routine.  

📍 Important Carline Notes:

• The car line system is the same this year as last year's car line system.  If you were here last year, there are no changes.  If this is your first time in car line, please note that the morning and afternoon car lines are drastically different from each other so it is very important to study each interactive map.  

• MORNING:  Cars will enter from Legacy Drive or Stonebrook Drive and follow the blue and white routes as indicated on the morning drop-off map below.  

1. PLEASE do not block Legacy as you are turning in.  Both LS and MS drop off at the same time.  East dropoff is exclusive to LS but the West drop off is shared by both divisions.  

2. The WHITE drop off line is open from 8:00AM-8:15AM and is staffed so your child can be assisted out of the car.  They are welcome to unload without assistance as well.   

3. The BLUE drop off line is open from 7:30AM-8:15AM for LS (and then stays open for additional MS drop off).  This line is self guided.  We recommend this line for older students or families with multiple siblings, especially those in MS.  

4. Any students that are dropped off between 7:30AM-8AM for Lower School will be escorted to our playground (weather permitting) for morning activity.  All students proceed to classrooms at 8AM.  Our day begins promptly at 8:15AM with morning announcements.  

5. Any parent who needs to enter the building in the morning must enter through the front office.  

6. If you are entering from Stonebrook onto Fighting Eagles, please be aware of the new crosswalk from the new parking lot to the US.  

• AFTERNOON:  ALL Lower School families enter from Legacy Drive ONLY and follow the blue route on the afternoon pick-up map below.  We fill THREE lines:

     3. Queue C

These are designated as RED, BLUE, and YELLOW on the interactive map (tap the links below to view).  Our staff will direct you to the correct line.  Please stay in the lane you are directed into.  As you ENTER your line, we add your car line tag number into our system in order so your students come out in the order you entered campus, even if you are unsure why you were directed to a certain line.  Trust the process!    

1. In the afternoon, please ensure your carline tag is hanging from your mirror the entire time you are in carline. This helps us quickly get your child to your car each afternoon. If this is not possible for your car, please affix it to the back of your visor or lay it on your dashboard and hold it up for staff.  

2. Again: Please DO NOT change lanes during afternoon pick-up. Changing lanes disrupts the flow and will delay your student’s dismissal.  Your car line number is entered in order of your arrival on campus.   

3. If you have students in LS and MS, you can pick up in LS line and then in MS line OR pick up both students in the MS line.  

4. From 3-3:30PM, Lower School students may not be picked up from the front office.  This disrupts car line.  We fully realize this takes prescheduling and planning of appointments, after school activities, etc.    

5. Each family will be issued two car line tags at Meet the Teacher.  If your family needs additional pickup tags, we are happy to issue them.

6. The only families that may use walk up or walk away for pickup are families that live in Cheyenne Crossing.  Please email rachel.constantinescu@legacyca.com if you would like to use this option.  It is not an option to park at Allen Elementary or in the neighborhood for pickup.    

7. If you are picking up students not in your own family, please have the parent of the child being picked up email the classroom teacher granting permission.  Then, bring either that family's car line tag or a photo of the car line tag with you for the student to be released to you.  

8. If you ever do not have your car line tag with you, please be ready to show your ID for staff to verify for pickup.
