Leesville Back-to-School Resource Fair August 18, 2026 4:00-6:00 PM Leesville Gymnasium

Parents as Teachers is connecting with local resources for families to connect with. Our goals are for the following: 

• School supplies

• Hygiene supplies

• Mental Health

• Dental

• Insurance

• Back-to-school hair cuts

• Car Seat Safety 

• Assistance with reduced/free lunch forms; Assistance with school enrollment

Food for My Picky Eater November, 2026 5:30-6:30 Location TBD

Do you have a picky eater at home? Are you concerned for your child's nutrition? Join us for strategies and activities to work with your child at home. Connect with additional resources that will continue to support and guide you.

Indoor Play Day!  January 12, 2027 5:30-6:30 PM Location TBD

Come join us for an indoor play day! Winter has us all cooped up inside. Play stations will be set up to engage with your child(ren) away from home. We will have different play stations set up to encourage gross motor play for various age groups!

Taming a Temper Tantrum  March 23, 2027 5:00-6:00 PM Location TBD

We will be hosting a parent cafe presentation about taming temper tantrums. Come learn about temperament, development and strategies to use at home with your child. We will use real-life scenarios to practice the strategies, ask questions and host discussions.
