Join the Lee County Math Competition Training Google Classroom
What is the program about?
The School District of Lee County has a rich history of mathematical enrichment opportunities for its students. Many of our students participated and found great success in a wide array of math competitions such as AMC, MATHCOUNTS, and Mu Alpha Theta Programs. Due to the pandemic, many of the local annual competitions have been cancelled and clubs were disbanded. This year we are going to restart the Lee County Math Competitions, but have created a 16-week training program for students.
Each week we will provide problem sets and video lessons for you to use in your in-person or virtual club meetings. In addition to that, we will have weekly live zoom sessions where we will answer questions and provide additional tips for individual students. We look forward to getting to know you this year and are excited to make an impact on your educational journey!
Who is eligible to participate?
This program is designed for anyone in grades 6-8. The content is meant for students that are a historic level 5 on state testing. Anyone in Lee County is welcome to join the sessions for free. At the end of the year we will have an in-person event that is based off of the content covered in this program.
