The Learner Profile is what we strive for our students to exhibit during and beyond their time in the Primary Years Program at Heights Elementary.
The aim of all IB programmes is to develop internationally minded people who, recognizing their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better and more peaceful world. (The International Baccalaureate Program)
We completed an action project as a staff to give back to the community. We made 20 bags to contribute to the Greyson Project as well as a gift basket for our colleagues at Fort Myers Beach Elementary who are back in their building after over a year of being displaced from Hurricane Ian.

Each month our Hurricane of the Month celebration honors one student from each class that best represents a particular attribute of the Learner Profile.
Students are encouraged to seek characteristics in others (both in person and in written texts) that exemplify the particular attributes of the Learner Profile.
The Learner Profile is Who We Are and how we communicate with each other at Heights.
Thank you Pen to Page on Teachers Pay Teachers for creating this great visual of things parents can do at home with their child to encourage the attributes of the Learner Profile.
Thank you to our Community Sponsor, 3 Pepper, for providing each Hurricane of the Month recipient with a bookmark for a FREE Kid's Meal!
