As part of the IB Learning process, we encourage ACTION as a response to our learning. From our youngest learners in Kindergarten, through Fifth Grade Exhibition, students all over the school are taking action.
As part of their 5th Grade Exhibition Project, students researching Life on Land collected donations for CROW Clinic and were able to drop them off at the facility while also learning about the animals they are helping.
As a response to their unit on expressing themselves through Poetry, fourth grade students used their poetry samples to make Valentine's Placemats for the residents of Barkley Place Assisted Living Facility.
Students in Third Grade led a donation drive to collect 11, 647 Band-Aids to donate to Golisano Children's Hospital.
Students in Second Grade collected items and assembled 120 Stockings for Seniors for Senior Citizens in our community during the holidays. This project was a response to their learning about ancestors.
Students in first grade created pumpkin characters as part of their How We Express Ourselves unit. They invited the whole school to join on a Learner Profile Scavenger Hunt where students had to identify the attributes of the Learner Profile identified in the different pumpkin characters.
In response to their learning in Sharing the Planet, Kindergarten students got the whole school involved in collecting donations for the Gulf Coast Humane Society.
