HR 1) Recruit and employ qualified college and university student interns as employees
Strategies:
HR 1.1) Partner with state and nearby colleges and universities
HR 1.2) Provide internal references among school administrators hosting student interns
HR 1.3) Attend in-person and virtual teacher recruitment fairs
HR 2) Recruit and employ qualified graduates from Lee County Schools as employees
Strategies:
HR 2.1) Provide opportunities for LCS high school students to participate in education activities that assist in making career decisions to be employed as an educator in our school district
HR 3) Develop and retain current certified employees
Strategies:
HR 3.1) Provide new teacher orientation with a focus on the Alabama Educator Code of Ethics and school district expectations
HR 3.2) Provide school-based and districtwide mentoring programs for new certified employees (i.e., teachers, administrators) and current employees in need of support
HR 3.3) Analyze and act upon results from exit surveys to determine possible areas of improvement
HR 3.4) Provide targeted professional learning and job-embedded supports
