Raina Tulsidas and Tatiana Lagesse, two 17 year old students from Le Bocage International School, started this project to address the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal of responsible consumption and production. People tend to forget that despite Mauritius being a 'paradise island', it will not always look like that without a collaborative preservation of its beauty and wellbeing. Thus, we took it upon ourselves to offer a helping hand to make recycling easier for everyone here, encouraging a larger impact.
Our team consists of LBIS students of varied age groups who worked together over a period of time to create a recycling drive at our school, and decided to transcend the boundaries of the school by creating this helpful website.
Here is a short video that documents our process of creating the recycling drive at school!
