Early Development

Early development begins in the womb. SAM has undertaken a major initiative to assess the support systems in place to support early development across five domains of learning: Physical Health and Well-being; Social Competence; Emotional Maturity; Language and Cognitive Development; as well as Communication Skills and General Knowledge. Key to this work are the result of the Early Development Instrument (EDI) administered across Spartanburg County.
