While we will always have a menu of options to choose from based on your student's interests and needs, each month there will be one or two areas we'll spotlight that we encourage ALL of our Learnwell students to REACH for! Check out the video to hear more about this month's spotlight.
Fresh Start February
This month instead of one main spotlight, we've got several targets for your students to REACH for! Don't worry, we'll go back to one main spotlight next month, but there are just too many fun options to narrow it down for February. Check out these "fresh start" options:
REACH Read-a-thon: Calling all elementary schoolers! By now everyone should be familiar with our Leveled Reader program, which specializes in helping students practice reading and understanding stories and passages that are exactly on their level. We know sometimes this valuable program is easy to overlook when time feels short or motivations are low, so this month we're incentivizing our K-5th graders' participation! Check out the "Read-a-thon" section of our Read & Write Resources Page for all the details including what you can win!
Amazing Artists: Let's keep those creativity juices flowing! First up, we're launching a full on Learnwell T-Shirt Design Competition! We're excited for our next iteration of our Learnwell gear, and we need your help. Submit your ideas to Ms. Cori using our T-shirt design template (find it HERE), and we'll choose one awesome design to bring to life next semester. Deadline for T-shirt design submissions will be Thursday, April 6th. Also, our Arts Showcase on March 2nd is fast approaching, and the deadline for submissions (Feb 23rd) is just around the corner. Check out our Arts Showcase page for all the details, links to the forms and answers to FAQs.
Project PE: Anyone else feeling a little stir-crazy these days? Let's get our bodies MOVING with the Presidential Youth Fitness (@Home) Challenge! The Presidential Youth Fitness Program (PYFP) is the nation's leading Youth Fitness program, and now you can participate from the comfort of your own home! Check out PYPF's website for fun exercises, video tutorials, and even a downloadable tracking sheet. Send us a picture of you doing some of the exercises and/or with your tracking sheet and we'll shar your efforts on our community page!

Check out our Read-a-thon Spotlight challenge above! If you're looking for additional reading and writing extension opportunities, complete this month's Reading & Writing Bingo Card! You can find it HERE.
