These AR Experiences are best viewed with a mobile device and Merge Cube!

The following examples are property of the USS Midway Museum, and are provided here for use in classrooms and educational environments by students and teachers. Click here to learn more about the project, which can be viewed from the flight deck of the USS Midway Museum.

Process:

  1. Get the CoSpaces App on your device (Google Play -or - iOS).

  2. Use the available QR codes to bring up the AR scene - Click Play.

  3. Once your scene loads, you will use the cube outline to view the experience by matching it up with your Merge Cube.

Experience Augmented Reality as you enjoy a 3D visual overview of the events leading up to the Battle of Midway and you step into the Pacific Theater and interact with a decryption tool to help Admiral Nimitz.

Get up close and examine the aircraft of the Battle of Midway and see the aerial tactics used by both the Japanese and the United States naval forces.

Watch the battle unfold and see how the United States Navy was able to achieve victory, against all odds.
