About Us:

What brought us together

We created this site as a resource to help educators and students to get started creating in CoSpaces. The site is a student project for the course LDT 544 Advanced Instructional Design, taught at San Diego State University. The goal of the course is to introduce students to the rapid prototyping and production of e-learning products. This site is created in collaboration between SDSU students and Kevin White, a local San Diego educator.

Emily Roizin

Originally from the Boston area, Emily came out to the warmer coast for college and decided to stay. Now she's a Human Resources Generalist for Arlo Technologies, Inc. in Carlsbad. Along with working full-time, she's taking classes through the LDT program at SDSU to learn how to design effective employee training programs, analyze performance problems, and learn how to incorporate technology in the workforce to increase efficiency and improve processes.

Duane Santoni

Duane is a former commercial diver who returned to college to study Art History. While attending SDSU, he discovered the Learning Design and Technology program and decided it fit perfectly alongside his art studies. He plans to merge the two disciplines as a visualization specialist and experience designer, using new interactive mediums such as virtual reality and mixed reality to entertain, educate, and inform.

Maggie Shoya

Maggie Shoya is the Office Manager for the School of Journalism and Media Studies. She has a B.S in Business Administration (Information Systems) from San Diego State University. Prior to accepting her position at SJMS, she was the Administrative Coordinator at the SDSU Enrollment Services and with SDSU Research Foundation.
