OB Camp Info 22-23
12th May
Dear Y6 Parents
We have a countdown running on the board at school - 9 days to camp and 40 days till the summer. One of those things we're looking forward to, the other is bittersweet!
We are giving you a heads-up on what we've been discussing and reiterating with the students over the past few weeks regarding Camp.
Think of camp as a chance to get out of your comfort zone. It's going to be different!
Start packing next week and have your bag packed by Friday.
Be like Santa, check the gear list twice!
Don't pack any food.
Don't pack any electronics - anything that needs to be charged stays home. (Think of it as life in the 1900s!)
Bring any necessary medication in labelled (name + dosage) Ziploc bags. This includes necessary medication like inhalers and eye drops; as well as contact lenses and solutions. (see attached)
You don't need a sleeping bag or a hiking bag. These will be provided.
Bring a few plastic bags for wet/dirty clothes
We trust you have passed on all necessary medical information and dietary restrictions to Outward Bound. (This is crucial as this information is passed on to Compass who does the catering for our group). You can contact them by emailing info@outwardbound.org.hk
We will post a short update every evening and continuously upload photos on the Y6 Google Site. Please note that since the children are in mixed groups, the camp photos are in a combined folder. Remember to use your child’s school @learning account to access our Google Site.
That’s all for now. Take care and have a great weekend!
Regards
Resham and Anushka 🙂
