Travel
Every year students travel to the Goodwill Shakespeare Festival in Vernon and we try to do a major theatre excursion at least every second year. Current plans include New York City (Spring Break 2023, Ashland, Oregon in the fall of 2023 and to the Stratford Festival in Ontario (2025)
Previous trips have included Vancouver, Ashland (Oregon, USA) and London (England)
History
The OKM Theatre opened in 2015 at Okanagan Mission Secondary School and under the leadership of Ryan Grenier (Artistic Director and Head of Design) and Zach Griffin (Music and Vocals Director for Choir, 3T Vocals, OKM Music Department) The OKM theatre has produced over 30 productions including Broadway Musicals (OKM Triple Threat Theatre Company), Full length plays and plays with music (MissionMainStage Theatre Company), One Act Plays and Children's Theatre (Grade 9/10 Drama) and the OKM Fringe festival (available to any OKM student to participate in! )
We're very fortunate to welcome Ms. Kaitlyn Mckay (Dance Director) to the OKM 3T Company! Ms. Mckay brings years of dance experience and choreography experience to OKM as she develops our dance program and supports 3T with her talent!
