The ministry explains the purpose of the self-reflection on the core competencies to parents in this document.
We are mandated to support students to self-reflect on the Core Competencies at each learning update (3 times per year), but as you can see, reflection is intended to be an ongoing, purposeful part of each students' journey.

Clear, Consistent, Consise
To help parents, students, and other stakeholders stay organized, we have decided to create one place for these reflections to be housed. Each student will have their own Google Site. It is set up for them and through LLC orientation, students will make it their own and email their parents the link to their Site. Here is a template of the Site students will start with.
From there, it is up to teachers to find meaningful ways to help students reflect. Remember, MORE is not better. And collaborating with your team of teachers will help stop the over-reflecting that is not good for students.
