Independent Reading and Log
Independent reading is an integral part of a child's education. Please ensure that your child is reading for at least 20-30 minutes each night. In addition to reading, students are expected to keep an electronic log of their reading at least 3 times each week. This will be checked and graded as a homework assignment (2,1,0) several times throughout the quarter. In addition, there may be assignments associated with independent reading.
We encourage you to review the books your children are choosing to read. Students are expected to have an independent reading book in class everyday.
