Homework Policy and Homework Help!!
Homework is given almost every night in ELA.
Completion of homework assignments is an important part of a student's educational journey and is calculated into the quarterly average. If a student does not complete the HW by the assigned date, they have an opportunity to make it up for partial credit. Assignments should be completed no more than three days late, but assignments will be accepted and minimal credit will be given after that.
Homework is graded on a 10 point scale as follows:
10 = Full Credit; 10-2 = one day late; 10-4 = two days late; 10-6 = three days late; 10-8 = more than three days late.
10 = exceptionally completed with thorough accuracy and effort; 8 = Completed with some inaccuracies or errors. More effort may be required; 6 = Partially completed or completed with many inaccuracies and errors. Minimal effort; 4 or below = Please see me! 0 = Assignment never turned in!
All homework is posted on the PRMS website daily, but the Agenda Book should be the most accurate source of HW information. I also try to post the HW assignments each day on our google Classroom Stream!
If a student does not understand an assignment, it is his/her/their responsibility to see me the following morning. We can set up a time to review if necessary. Extra help is ALWAYS available!
