The global pandemic has hit the travel and tourism industry hard. But what might happen if we built new theme parks to promote travel and tourism to Canada and Alberta? What could we learn about the land in our province/country that we could teach others through amazing snack shacks and innovative rides? And what could we learn about math through the design and operations of our park? Let's find out!
This build told the story of how a bylaw is created through a digital comic book format. Each frame was a different scene in the story and a different part of the bylaw process.
In this build, the student showed the steps in an election by having the players participate in the process...everything from putting up signs that were kept in a chest to campaign to submitting vote with a book and quill.
In both of these builds, students created a problem that the town had to solve. One build included the whole town and as you explored the town, you went through the sets of solving the problem with a bylaw. In the second build, a town hall was built and the interactions between councillors was showcased!
