In our last week, we are going to explore coding with Minecraft and join in on the global event - Hour of Code. Here's a preview of what I have in store!

This week, your challenge is to work collaboratively on a team to design and build a Christmas tree with the theme of one of your science units. How could you tie Christmas trees into Sky Science? How about flight? Get those creative juices flowing and then work together to build!
What happens when your build starts to burn down Everyone chips in to help, of course. Because that's how 21st century kids roll!
It seems like things are changing all the time. Playgrounds, supermarkets, restaurants. As many students return in fall, school will look different as well. Your challenge is to build creative solutions to make a traditional classroom environment more suitable to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Should we have class outside? Social distance the desks? Build bigger classrooms? Brainstorm ideas then build them in Minecraft!
For this challenge: you can work on your own or collaboratively by hosting others in your world. Give all builders credit by putting up a chalkboard that features the first names of all of the builders!
Objective: Have you been spending a lot of time inside recently? Give this build challenge a try to flex your creativity and maybe your body as well. Your challenge this week is to design your ideal bedroom that includes at least one way to get exercise indoors. Slime block bed bouncing? Indoor balloon archery range? Racing pig track? Let your imagination run free.
