Dictionary of Canadian Biography: Home
Explore significantly people from Canada’s history. The online biographical encyclopedia contains entries on people significant to Canadian history from pre-contact times to 1939. Entries are written based on the decades of a person’s death. Work is currently underway on biographies of people that had died in the 1940s. Note: most of the entries are written by academics and the reading level is aimed at a higher grade level and may not be accessible for elementary students without teacher or parental assistance.
