Worldbook for Kids, Worldbook Online for Students, and Worldbook Advanced
Encyclopedias, Resource Guides, videos, images, etc. for various topics. Probably the best database available through CPL, especially since it has the three different levels according to age
Good for finding textbooks on particular topics, might be of some support for understanding human rights movements or famous people that may have excerpts from a text written about them (e.g. Rosa Parks)
Also a good resource for Canadian content/people
Another database on Canadian history – might be more suited to older ages. If looking at images, make sure students press arrows for browsing through pages on the image viewer
