Class Changes

Students may add a class prior to the add date, and drop or level change a course prior to the drop/level change date. Class drops/level changes are not guaranteed and are subject to class space availability and scheduling feasability. Students may not have an unscheduled period in the middle of their school day. At the time, WHS does not offer study hall as a class option.

Add and Drop/Level Change Deadlines for the 2026-2027 School Year

Semester One

Add Deadline: August 28, 2026

Drop/Level Change Deadline: October 23, 2026

Semester Two

Add Deadline: January 15, 2027*

Drop/Level Change Deadline: March 25, 2027

*A limited list of classes available to add in semester two will be available by winter break

Teacher Changes

Counselors are not able to facilitate any teacher switches/changes.

Please read the Teacher Change Policy below:

Before any change is considered, there must be a face to face conference between the teacher and parent/student to address any concerns.
After the face to face conference, a time period of 2 - 3 weeks must be given to address concerns discussed in the meeting.
If a strong concern still exists, the parent must write a letter to the Assistant Principal of Instruction outlining: the concerns, reasons for the request, and the steps that have been taken to resolve the concerns.
At this time, a second face to face conference may be necessary.
Adhering to the above policy means that a change will be considered, not that a change will be made.
