What is AVID?

AVID stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination. It is a widespread K-12 academic support program used in thousands of schools to prepare "middle" students (often with 2.0 to 3.5 GPAs) for college eligibility, focusing heavily on first-generation and underrepresented students.
