Courses: You need a minimum of 3 courses within an emphasis, with a satisfactory grade of C or better.
Chemistry CP, H, or AP
Physiology H or Medical Health Anatomy and Physiology CP
Public Health H or AP Biology or Zoology CP
1 pre-approved ROP class (Dental, Medical, Nurse, or Veterinary assistant classes)
*ROP Courses: Regional Occupation Program courses that are offered at the Career Education Center (CEC) in Camarillo. 1 ROP course can count towards the 3 years of science. Contact Mrs. Rogstad for approval.
ROP course prerequisites:
These courses may be taken in the 11th or 12th grade, but the prerequisite must be completed prior to course enrollment. Prerequisites may not be taken concurrently with the CEC course.
Certified Nursing Assistant Medical Terminology or Anatomy Physiology with a grade of B or higher
Dental Assistant Oral Cavity or Biology with a grade of B or higher
Medical Assistant Medical Terminology or Anatomy Physiology with a grade of B or higher
Veterinary Assistant Biology with a grade of B or higher
As we roll out the program, points required may change. Currently, the points required are as follows:
Class of 24 - 18 pts in CEOs
Class of 25 and beyond - 20 pts in CEOs
