A little bit about Mrs. Maturo...

I am very excited to be starting my 28th year of teaching at Sequoia!

Through those many years, I have taught English, U.S. History, Medieval History, ASB and Life Management. I am happy to also be teaching this "EPIC Wellness" electives class!

Having grown up attending school in the CVUSD, earning a BA at Cal Poly SLO, a teaching credential at Sierra Nevada College, and a MS in Counseling and Guidance at CLU, I consider myself to be a lifelong learner. I enjoy reading & studying about a variety of topics and I hope to instill that joy of learning in my students. One of my favorite quotes is, "Never stop learning because life never stops teaching."

While away from school, I love spending time with my husband, our two daughters, our cat & our hamster. We enjoy hiking, camping, traveling, gardening, laughing, and watching movies & sunsets together.
