Homework

We adhere to the CVUSD homework policy. First Graders are expected to complete 10-20 minutes of homework in addition to 15 minutes of reading time each night for a maximum total time of 35 homework minutes each day. If it is taking your child longer, please let us know. All homework for the week is given out on Monday in your child’s homework folder (the folders are provided). Homework is to be completed at home, and returned in the homework folder on Friday (except for Sharing Pages).

Please sign your child’s homework on the front page of the packet. This is our way of knowing you’ve checked your child’s homework for neatness and completeness (no need to correct errors – it helps us know what areas your child needs extra assistance in). Please help your child to take pride in their work and demonstrate responsibility by returning their homework on time.
