Lost or Destroyed Charger?
As you know, the charger damage/loss is not covered under the service fee you have paid. As a reminder - here is the handbook language stating that:
What Does the Support Fee Cover?
Each device comes with support, maintenance, and Accidental Damage Protection
(ADP). The maintenance and support fee covers the following items:
• Any accidental damage to the device that causes structural issues or renders
the device useless
A device that is damaged beyond repair will be replaced once without
additional cost to student/guardian
• Software updates for improved learning, functionality, and security
• Technical support, including replacement of defective parts and help
resolving technical issues
What’s Not Covered with the Support Fee?
The following items are not covered under the support and maintenance fee:
• Intentional mistreatment or vandalism
• Cosmetic damage
• Repair or maintenance of any items not provided with the device when it was
originally handed out
• Replacement of any ancillary items such as power adapter, case, etc.
• Loss of any data contained on the device
Please note the data on these devices is not backed up; students must
keep data in the designated network locations to ensure access if the
device is lost, stolen, or damaged
HOW TO PURCHASE A NEW CHARGER
Method 1: Bring $40 in cash to the front office. Once you have paid I will get notification and get a new charger issued to your student.
Method 2: Here is the link to pay by credit card. Take the receipt to the Library to pick up your new charger.
**If you have received a scholarship for the computer, please note that the charger is issued with the computer, however, should there be a lost charger you will be responsible for the charger replacement cost.
