Coyote Tech

The Coyote Tech program was developed so that any student can receive technology assistance on a timely manner.  These student aides have multiple roles. They are trained in basic laptop troubleshooting.

The Coyote Techs are available to assist students during the school day.  Students needing support will need a pass to leave their classroom during the school day.  The teacher will determine if their technology issue warrants missing class time.  Such as their laptop will not turn on and they will need their laptop to complete their assignment.

The Coyote Techs will inform the student that restarting their computer fixes the majority of the computer problems.  They will then connect their laptop to both power and Ethernet before restarting it.  They will ask the student to verify if the issue is still present.

If a Coyote Tech can not fix the issue, then they will receive some additional training from the Campus Technologist on how to troubleshoot and resolve that specific issue.  If their issue can not be fixed on a timely manner, then the Campus Technologist will replace their non-functioning laptop with an identical working laptop.

The Coyote Tech will inform the student that they will need to back-up the files that they believe are of importance to their Google Drive account so that they are accessible from their replacement laptop.
