Choirs

6th Grade Choir

Every 6th grade student goes into one BIG mixed choir here at Wiley.

They perform 3 concerts a year, and are given the opportunity to compete in the Solo and Ensemble Contest in the spring.

This choir goes on a tour to the elementary schools in December, performs when 5th graders visit Wiley, and can go to Typhoon Texas in May!

Ms. Ford and Ms. Hutchings Co-Teach this class together.

Junior Varsity Treble Choir

this is a group of 7th and 8th grade treble (female) singers.

They perform 4 concerts a year, including the UIL concert and Sight reading Process in April. They are given the opportunity to compete in the Region Choir Process in the fall and the Solo and Ensemble Contest in the spring

This choir goes caroling around Wiley in December and can go to Schlitterbahn in May!

Ms. Hutchings is the lead teacher for this choir.

Varsity Treble Choir

this is a group of 7th and 8th grade treble (female) singers who audition to be placed in this select ensemble.

They perform 4 concerts a year, including the UIL concert and Sight reading Process in April. They are given the opportunity to compete in the Region Choir Process in the fall and the Solo and Ensemble Contest in the spring

This choir goes to the Texas capitol to perform in December, performs at the elementary schools in Februaury, performs when the 5th graders visit Wiley, and can go to Schlitterbahn in May!

Ms. Ford is the lead teacher for this choir.

Tenor-Bass Choir

this is a group of 7th and 8th grade treble (Male) singers.

They perform 4 concerts a year, including the UIL concert and Sight reading Process in April.They are given the opportunity to compete in the Region Choir Process in the fall and the Solo and Ensemble Contest in the spring

This choir performs at the veterans Day at Wiley in november and can go to Schlitterbahn in May!

Ms. Ford is the lead teacher for this Choir.

Musical Theatre

Wiley was the pioneer campus in Leander ISD for middle school musical theatre programs.

This is an auditioned group for 7th and 8th grade students.

All students MUST be enrolled in an additional Choir, Theatre, or Dance class to be in the Musical Theatre Class.

These students perform 2 shows a year. A showcase in December and a full musical in March.

All casting and rehearsal for these shows happen only through the Musical theatre classes.
