Welcome to QUEST!
The goal of QUEST is that our kids have self-actualization so they can chart their own path knowing their passions, goals, and how to get there.
Enrichment through QUEST...
The QUEST program is setup as an enrichment to learning. In the QUEST classroom, students learn and use tools that help them research ideas and topics. They will explore the Creative Thinking skills of Fluency, Flexibility, Originality, and Elaboration in their projects. They will also learn how to use the Critical Thinking skills from Bloom's Taxonomy in their daily life.
QUEST is a challenging, interdisciplinary, project-based program that requires high intellectual ability (95th percentile or above) for successful participation. The QUEST program does not accelerate a particular content area but does expand, extend and enrich the content areas through interdisciplinary projects. While QUEST students' inventions and products may not look conventional to outsiders, they reflect in-depth, complex thinking and creative problem solving, and there is no limit to what those busy brains can do!
Supply Requests
All students need a notebook and folder. Returning students should already have this, with the exception of students going into 1st grade. 1st graders and anyone new to QUEST still need to provide a folder and notebook.
We still have enough basic supplies from last year to get us going this year. In lieu of me asking each grade level for specific items, please consider purchasing an item off our Amazon Wishlist, made with the help of our incoming 5th graders.
