9th/12th Grade - Jessica Mondragon - AVID Team Lead

Mrs. Mondragon joined Leander ISD in 2003 and is in her 12th year at Vista Ridge HS. She is also the sponsor for the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica (Spanish National Honor Society). Her teaching career has included ICAP at Knowles Elementary, Science Inclusion (Biology/IPC) at VRHS, Spanish, and AVID teacher. Mrs. Mondragon is one of our 11th/12th AVID cohort teachers as well as a Spanish 3 Pre-AP and Spanish 4 AP teacher. Teaching is not only her love, but it's her passion. Mrs. Mondragon bleeds burnt orange and received her Applied Learning and Development with a specialization in Special Education from the University of Texas at Austin.

12th Grade - Tracy Palmer

Mrs. Palmer is one of our 11th/12th AVID cohort teachers in addition to teaching Geometry Pre-AP, Algebra 1, and Algebraic Reasoning.

9th Grade - Elizabeth Duncan

Mrs. Duncan is one of our 9th/10th AVID cohort teachers in addition to teaching both World History AP and European History AP. Mrs. Duncan is a proud LSU alumni and sports her purple and gold with pride.

10th/11thGrade - Kristina Mowdy

Coach Mowdy is one of our 9th/10th AVID cohort teachers in addition to teaching World History and assistant Volleyball Coach and Girls Soccer coach.

9th Grade - Jentry Shaffer

Mrs. Shaffer is one of our 9th/10th AVID cohort teachers in addition to teaching English 3 AP. Mrs. Shaffer is a proud alumni of Uof H and loves her Spurs and Astros.

12th Grade - Holly Lamb

Coach Lamb is one of our 11th/12th AVID cohort teachers in addition to teaching Professional Communication/MAPS and coaching Lady Ranger Volleyball. She played volleyball at West Texas A&M and graduated from WT with her bachelors and masters degree in Kinesiology.
