Hello! I'm Mrs. Anna Saler-Sanchez, and I'm excited to be your students' American Sign Language teacher at Vista Ridge High School. I earned my bachelor's degree from Lamar University and my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University.
I am passionate about helping students build confidence in their ASL skills while fostering an appreciation for Deaf culture. My goal is to create a classroom where every student feels welcomed, supported, and encouraged to grow.
Outside of school, I enjoy traveling, reading, spending time with my family, and relaxing with my cats. I look forward to partnering with you to make this a successful and memorable school year!

I believe every student can succeed when they feel supported, challenged, and valued in the classroom. My goal is to create a positive and engaging learning environment where students are encouraged to take risks, ask questions, and grow in both their confidence and communication skills.
As an American Sign Language teacher, I strive to make language learning interactive, meaningful, and connected to the rich culture of the Deaf community. Students learn best by actively using the language, so my classroom emphasizes hands-on activities, collaboration, visual learning, and real-world communication. I believe mistakes are an essential part of the learning process and encourage students to embrace them as opportunities for growth.
I am committed to meeting the diverse needs of my students by providing clear instruction, structured support, and opportunities for every learner to be successful. Through scaffolded instruction and consistent feedback, I help students build the skills and confidence they need to become effective communicators.
Above all, I hope every student leaves my classroom with a greater appreciation for American Sign Language, Deaf culture, and the value of communicating with respect, empathy, and confidence.
