About Me

Welcome Vista Ridge! I am excited to get to know your child and work with your family.

I was born and raised in Austin, and attended Texas State University. I have been with Leander ISD for 21 years and with North East ISD for 1 year. Most of my experience teaching is in elementary, but I started working with High School students last Spring and it is amazing!

I have four children; 2 college seniors, 1 freshman in college and a 10th grader.  They keep me super busy, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

I love the outdoors, spending time with friends, swimming, playing board games, traveling and trying new things.

Please email me at jill.markus@leanderisd.org if you have any questions.
