Your athlete will be required to purchase the athletic uniform that they will wear everyday in athletics. This uniform is purchased through BSN on an online webstore. It is a green shirt and black shorts. They are also required to have sweat top and bottom for when it gets cold. You are welcome to purchase multiple sets of the shirt and shorts as the girls will be sweating in them quite often. Your athlete will NOT need more than one set of sweats. All athletes will be required to put their name on their workout clothes so we can return them if they get lost. Here is the information to order these items:
Order Workout Gear. The link is on the Stack Team App. Remember that your athlete is required to have a green shirt, black shorts, grey sweatshirt, and grey sweatbottom purchased from the online store.
Ordering Directions:
When you order your athletes clothes, please remember that the idea is that they will wear these for 2 years assuming they will be in athletics as an 8th grader so buy them bigger rather than smaller. The girls must also tuck in their shirts, so they need to be long enough for that. I know sizing can be hard but do the best you can. If it is a youth item, it will be labeled youth, otherwise assume it is an adult size. The sweats pants seem to run a little bigger so don’t buy too big on those. Also, the youth shorts and sweats will NOT have draw strings in them, but the adult sizes do. Lastly, we do NOT have extra workout clothes to trade sizes with you and BSN does not do returns or exchanges on these items so pay close attention to sizing. If you have questions, please email Coach Thompson.
This is our ONLY way of communicating with parents and athletes.

Boys new to Football PowerPoint
Our male students in 7th/8th grade have the option of playing football, but it is not mandatory. There are two ways for students to join athletics. Firstly, students who want to join the football team will automatically be enrolled in the athletic program. Football is a no-cut sport, which means that if a student signs up at the start of 7th/8th grade, they will be on the team and in athletics.
Secondly, if any student does not want to play football, they can enroll in 7th/8th grade PE until basketball tryouts in November. Unfortunately, basketball has limited spots, so there is a tryout. If a student enrolled in PE makes the basketball team, they will then be moved into athletics. If a PE student does not make the basketball team, they will continue earning PE credits by staying in PE.
For soccer, students do not need to be enrolled in athletics or PE to try out for the team. It is open to any and all eligible 7th/8th grade students. Once the teams are made, the athlete will not be enrolled in athletics. All practices and games will be before or after school, making it unnecessary to change a student's schedule 30 days before the last day of school.
In short, we cannot allow students to enroll in 7th/8th grade athletics and not play football in the first semester of school. All 5 of our coaches coach 3 football teams from August to November, leaving no supervision for athletes not playing football. Rather than sitting every day for 3 and a half months outside in the sun, we ask that students earn their PE credits by staying in PE until they make the basketball team. Our priority is the safety of our students and the continuation of earning PE credits.
