Thank you for visiting PHE's school counseling site! My name is Laura Mioton, and I am extremely excited to serve our Huskies and their families as the school counselor for the 2025-2026 school year! This will be my 19th year as an educator at Leander ISD. Before this role, I served as an elementary classroom teacher, teaching 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades. As a school counselor, I teach monthly social/emotional classroom lessons, work with students in small group settings, provide individual counseling as needed, and SO much more! If, at any time, you feel your child would benefit from additional support from our school counseling program, feel free to contact me by phone, e-mail, or via my counseling request form below.

School counseling services are available to all students. Students may stop by the counseling office during the school day. Parents may email the school counselor or call the counseling office to schedule an appointment or a phone conference. Matters of urgency will be given priority.
Confidentiality: Counselors will respect a student's right to privacy unless (1) a parent/guardian requests information, (2) matters discussed pertain to suicide or possible harm to another person, (3) matters discussed pertain to any type of abuse, (4) there is a legal requirement for disclosure, or (5) there is a necessity to consult with other professionals.
