The First Grade team is asking for donations of headphones! Our new reading program on the iPad requires a microphone.
Here is the kind we are wanting. We would love to get around 30 pairs for the grade level to share.
We are so appreciative of anyone who is able to help support our grade level!♥️ Please drop them off at the front office or send in with your child. Thank YOU so much!

Thanksgiving Lunch
Thanksgiving Lunch
Our Thanksgiving lunch date is around the corner. Save November 14, 2025, for your child's Thanksgiving Lunch.
This day is very busy, and we ask that you plan to be early. We also ask that you park at Gupton, as we will have a shuttle. Please do not park on on the grass near Gupton.
What you need to know:
You must have an ID
We encourage you to fill out the RSVP form (button below)
We need 8 volunteers per lunch: see form below
Park at Gupton- we will have a shuttle to campus
You may not park on the red line, or you will be ticketed.
You may not park in the grass past the fire gates as this is a danger to students playing at recess. Do not open the fire gates or cars will drive through recess play. (big metal gates)
Cash only for meals: Exact change, we will not have change for you.
You may not attend recess, once lunch is over, please exit through the front of the building.
Your child's lunch schedule will be different for this day. Please see the RSVP form for more information.
You may begin badge pick up on November 5, 2025.

10:40-11:10 - 1st grade
11:20-11:50 - 2nd grade
11:55-12:25 - 3rd grade

Math: Adding 10 and other numbers, finding numbers between 0-50 using the terms greater than and less than, and adding unifix cubes to 50.
Phonics: Recognizing and sorting ending sounds
Reading: Finishing our nonfiction unit with our focus on nonfiction text features.
Writing: Intro to our next writing unit, "how to" informational writing.
Science: Understanding how living things depend on each other and their environment. As well as, why interdependence is important to a system.

This week, students learned skills for being a good Accountability Partner. As a family, discuss these questions with your learner: “What does encourage mean,” “Who encourages you,” and “How does encouragement help you lead?”

Please make sure you take the time to read your little take home book with your child! The rest of the week, please read books that interest them to keep their love of reading. These can be checked out from the library or books you already own at home.

Healthy Habits Reminder:
Please review healthy habits with your littles such as: how to blow their nose, properly wash their hands, and not share any head coverings or hair tools. We have a lot going around these days. ;) This will also help our school wide attendance goal.
