My name is Lynette Alanis, and I am honored to serve as your child’s 6th-grade school counselor this school year. I have proudly been a part of the Running Brushy Middle School community for the past 11 years and bring over 22 years of experience in education, including 18 years as a school counselor. In addition to my role here, I am currently pursuing a doctoral degree at Capella University.
I am also married and have two children who are RBMS alumni. RBMS feels like a second home to me, and my family loves the school's culture and family-like environment.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns. I look forward to working with you and your child!
I am excited to be your child's school counselor! This is my 23rd year in Leander ISD and my 11th year as a school counselor. This is my second year at RBMS. I attended the University of Texas for my bachelors degree (Go Horns!) and Lamar Univeristy for my master's degree. I am married with four children who are all in their late 20's to early 30's. I have one granddaughter. Two of my children were also RBMS Cougars as well.
In my free time, I enjoy gardening, reading, and being outside. I enjoy being your child's advocate and encourage you to reach out to me anytime.

I have been in education since 2000, and a school counselor since 2007. I've had the privilege of serving our students in LISD since 2007 and have enjoyed this community of students and families. RBMS has been an incredible school to work at.
I'm married and have two kids. One is in college and the other is in high school. When I'm not working, I freelance as a musician. My hobbies are aviation, gaming, cycling, and following my kids in their endeavors.
