Options for Non- Medical Extended Absences
If a student is traveling for several weeks they will be held to the normal attendance rules. After 3 unexcused absences you will start to receive truancy notifications for your student. At 18 absences, students often must make up hours, but there are also requirements and consequences before a student gets to that point (i.e. absence prevention courses for the parent and Attendance Improvement Plans).
