Hello Families and Welcome to Pre-K!
My name is Mary Flores and my instructional assistant's name is Maria Puentes. We have the great pleasure of being your child's teachers this year at Cox Elementary.
We are both so excited about getting to know you and your child and having them be a part of our class for the 2026-2027 school year! It will be a great year together with learning, growing, and fun!

Extra Clothes
Accidents happen! We understand that kids have accidents or get messy while they are learning and having fun! Please place extra clothes in a gallon Ziplock bag with their name on it. Their bag should include a shirt, shorts/pants, underwear, and socks. We will keep this bag in their locker at school.
Rest Time
We have a set rest time everyday in Pre-K. While children are not expected to sleep, we do ask that students lay down and rest quietly during this time. Each child will need to bring a nap mat/blanket set (labeled with their name) to use to help make them comfortable. An idea of this is found on Amazon here. Please keep all stuffed animals, dolls, toys at home. Nap mats will be sent home every Friday so they may be washed and returned on the following Monday.
