¡Bienvenidos!

Hola, mi nombre es Matías D. Aguilar y soy el docente a cargo de Español 1 y Español IV AP en Leander Middle School. 

Nací y crecí en Buenos Aires, Argentina. Allá, me gradué como profesor de inglés y comencé a trabajar en el ámbito docente a los 18 años dando clases en el instituto de inglés donde estudié cuando era chico. Siempre fui muy apasionado por los idiomas y las distintas culturas en el mundo.

He llegado a Estados Unidos en agosto del 2022 gracias a un programa de intercambio cultural tras haber sido seleccionado para trabajar como profesor de Español en LMS. Ha sido una experiencia muy enriquecedora, aprendiendo muchísimo de la cultura norteamericana y pudiendo compartir mi propia cultura con mis alumnos. 

Este año aprenderemos mucho y nos divertiremos juntos. Me gusta que mis clases sean entretenidas y útiles. Para ello, utilizaremos principalmente Google Classroom, donde encontrarán los contenidos que abordaremos durante todo este año. Es importante estar listos para hablar, participar, equivocarse y así aprender.

Hello, my name is Matías D. Aguilar and I am the teacher in charge of Spanish 1 and Spanish IV AP at Leander Middle School.

I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Back there, I graduated as an English teacher and started working in the teaching field at the age of 18, teaching at the English institute that I studied as a child. I have always been very passionate about languages ​​and different cultures in the world.

I arrived in the United States in August 2022 thanks to a cultural exchange program, after being selected to work as a Spanish teacher at LMS. It has been a very enriching experience, learning a lot about culture here in United States and, at the same time, being able to share mine with my students.

This year we will learn a lot and have fun together. I like my classes to be entertaining and useful. To do this, we will mainly use Google Classroom, where you will find all the contents that we will work with throughout this year. It is important to be ready to speak, participate, make mistakes and thus learn.
