EA Testing

The Summer Exam for Acceleration registration window is March 25-April 26.  You must contact your student's school counselor to discuss appropriate testing in order to grant permission for the administration of the Exam(s) for Acceleration. Please read through the information below before contacting your student's school counselor who will be responsible for registering your student. 

The deadline to request testing is April 26, 2024.   Leander ISD will be offering testing options during the testing window June 4-6, 2024. Qualifying students are accelerated into the next subject level in August 2024 for the 2024-25 school year.

You will be asked to agree to the following before testing will be scheduled:

By requesting these examinations, I acknowledge that:

• I have met with my child's school counselor to discuss appropriate testing and am giving permission for the administration of the Exam(s) for Acceleration.

• I understand that a score of 80% or higher must be achieved on the exams for advancement or credit to be awarded. (Grade level advancement only applies to spring and summer testing.)

• I understand that if my student scores 80% or higher on the required Exam(s) for Acceleration, that I am giving permission to accelerate to the next level of the course or grade, and that acceleration will automatically occur for the 23-24 academic year. (Grade level advancement only applies to summer testing for grade 1-8 and new to district kindergarten for Fall testing.)

• I am aware that I will be notified of the testing results and any change in my child’s current school placement as a result of the examinations.

• I am aware that all acceleration exams are purchased from The University of Texas at Austin. (Fees are non-refundable to the District)
