Hello! I started my career in education working at a psychiatric hospital and residential treatment center both in the Austin area and then also in northern Colorado. My husband and I are both from Austin, attending LISD and RRISD schools. I'm a UT graduate and avid Longhorn fan (Hook'Em!), going on to earn my master's degree in school counseling from the University of Northern Colorado in 2003. I have loved being a middle school counselor ever since!
I also love traveling, reading, watching movies, spending time with my daughter, and snuggling with my dog.
My number one passion is to help students feel like they have a voice. I'm proud of the work LMS does to promote mental health and maintain a fully comprehensive school counseling program through academic, career and social/emotional development.

Hello, I am so happy to be a Tiger and work with your child at LMS! I grew up in Ohio (O-H.... Go Buckeyes!) where I graduated from a small High School in Lexington (Go Minutemen!). Right after High School I joined the Air Force (National Guard) and continued on to also attended Columbus State Community College (Go Cougars!) in Ohio where I received an Associate of Arts in Sports and Fitness Management. From there I moved to the lovely state of Colorado where I attended Colorado State University (Go Rams!) in Fort Collins. I continued at CSU with my Masters in Counseling and Career Development and started my School Counselor Career. I then moved to the Austin area and continued my career in education. I have worked with youth in a variety of ways since 2001.
I have a passion for working with youth and supporting mental health. I have worked at LMS since 2022 and consider this my home. I look forward to working with you and your child (Go Tigers!).

Hi! I attended the University of Nevada at Reno where I received my Bachelor's and Master's degrees. In 2010 I attended San Angelo State University where I acquired my certifications in school counseling and administration. I have been in education since 1992 and taught in six districts in two states. During that time I taught 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. In 2007 I began working in LISD. I love the culture, the people, and the Leander Way of approaching education. Most recently I was an assistant principal at an elementary school in LISD. I have had the privilege of serving as a school counselor for 11 years of my career. There have been other roles throughout the years but my favorite has always been school counseling. I love serving others and supporting them on their journey in life. Being a counselor allows me to invest in people.
I live with my husband and three furbabies. I have two grown children. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, reading, and walking outside.
