Who Can Audition?

4th and 5th grade students from any LISD elementary school who have a passion for music and a commitment to a year-long program are encouraged to audition. District music specialists will select 2-3 students per campus to be a part of this amazing opportunity. 

How to Audition

1. Use these two links to rehearse with. The first link is the practice link to sing along with. The second link is the accompaniment link. It is the one you should video your student singing along with. Practice many times before sending in your audition. Be sure to tell us your first and last name and what school you go to. You only get one shot!  Use the auditions sheets below to help with the words.

3. Make sure you use the correct email address you want us to use for notifications. 

Audition Tips

Be sure to film your audition in a well-lit place. We want to see you, as well as hear you. 

Stand up when you sing.

Try not to fidget and look into the camera. 

Tell us your first and last name and what school you go to. This helps us know who you are. Take a breath and then start the music.

Important Dates for 26-27

• April 1 2026-- Video Auditions open for the 26-27 school year for incoming 4th graders and 5th graders. 

• April 17, 2026--Auditions close at 5:00pm

• May 1, 2026--New Choir members will be notified

• May 13, 2026--Parent Meeting/First rehearsal

• May 20, 2026

• August 5- (possible Convocation practice)

• First official rehearsal is Wed, Sept. 2 from 5-6:30pm at Cedar Park Middle School

Cost

$100 for the year

Cost covers/includes

• Music royalties (this is a huge portion of our costs)

• Accompanist

• Stipend

• Props, performance materials

$15 for Uniform Shirt

Rehearsals

A complete schedule will be given out at the first rehearsal.  In general, rehearsals are on Wednesdays, starting Sept.2 , from 5:00-6:30pm at Cedar Park Middle School
