My name is Patrice Chappell and I have been teaching music, theatre, and art in Texas and Arkansas over a span of 40 years. I have been in Leander for 27 years and taught at Laura Welch Bush since it opened in 2002. I couldn't think of any job I would rather be doing. I love teaching children music and theatre. The look on their face when they realize they have a gift in one of these areas is something I cherish. I can't wait to see your children in choir!
My name is Danny McKay and I am the Performing Arts Specialist at Rutledge Elementary. This is my third year on the Ranch. I come with 7 years of elementary music teaching experience. I started teaching in the DFW area where I fell in love with my district's 'All-District Elementary Chorus'. When I came to LISD, I knew I wanted to help start this amazing opportunity for our young musicians. I believe that all students deserve access to a high-quality performing arts education experience that affirms their identity, introduces new cultures and experiences, fosters creativity, leadership, and helps students find joy in learning to perform in the many different avenues that the Performing Arts provides. I look forward to working with Leander parents and families to create this premiere organization for LISD.
My name is Kimberly Huddleston, and I am the Performing Arts teacher at Carol Ann North Elementary in Leander ISD. With over 20 years of teaching experience, I bring a deep passion for music and performance to every classroom moment. I believe that every student deserves a welcoming space to explore their creativity, build confidence through performance, and experience the joy that music can bring. I’m so excited to be a part of building this incredible new opportunity for our students!
