Technical Theatre 2, 3, and 4 are a combined-level advanced technical theatre course. Students in this course expand their technical theatre skills from what they learned in the introductory course, with students in Technical Theatre 4 being classroom leaders. This course changes year to year based on class interests, but generally involves independent study and growth in one or two selected areas of tech theatre, guided activities to expand skills, and more advanced construction skills.
Students use lighting software to virtually design lights for a song from a musical, all from their computers.
Students use the gridding technique to resize artwork to be visible from the stage.
Students learn hand sewing in Tech 1, and expand those skills to machine sewing in Tech 2-4.
