Rita Jenkines, Counselor

My name is Rita Jenkines. This is my 14th year as the LWBE Counselor. My history includes having worked with pre-school through university students. I have been in education for over 30 years. Currently, I am passionate about supporting our LWBE students, parents and staff. I am fortunate to have a wonderful husband and have been happily married for over 36 years. We have one daughter and two grandsons. Besides enjoying being the LWBE Counselor, I love art, reading, cooking, camping or cabining, painting, and gardening. Please feel free to reach out to me with any concerns you may have or anything I might could help with. I always look forward to visiting with parents and working together to support our students. About School Counseling Services:

School Counselors serve students —both in groups and individually—to help students meet academic, personal/social, and college/career goals. School counselors also work together with parents to help support their children.

Individual referrals to the school counselor may be made by the student, a parent, or by school staff and administration. School counseling services do not constitute or substitute for professional therapeutic care.

Students may stop by the counseling office during the school day depending upon availability, or make an appointment. The student may fill out a "Note to the Counselor" and place it in the Counselor's mailbox by the door to the counseling office. The student may also ask their parent or teacher to help them send a note, email, or call me to make an appointment.

Parents may email or call the counseling office to schedule an appointment or a phone conference. Matters of urgency will be given priority.
