NOTE: You are required by law to complete this training one time. Keep a copy of your certificate for your own records as this is your only proof of completion.

Unassigned Opioid Antagonist (Narcan) Training - Clinic Coverage Team Only

REQUIREMENTS:
Complete training Opioid Education for Nonclinical Staff and Lay Responders - American Heart Association
Read through the LISD Opioid Antagonist Standing Order (available in the campus clinic)
Complete Knowledge Check (Unassigned Opioid Antagonist-Narcan)
Print completed Knowledge Check and submit to campus nurse (see "How to Print Knowledge Checks" at bottom of this site)
Print Attestation Statement (Unassigned Opioid Antagonist-Narcan) - complete and submit to campus nurse

Print Attestation Statement (Unassigned Epi) - complete and submit to campus nurse
Unlicensed Diabetes Care Assistant (UDCA) Training
WHO: All principal-assigned campus staff that will be helping cover the clinic on a campus where there is a diabetic student
REQUIREMENTS:
Watch ALL diabetes videos
Complete UDCA Test
Print completed test and submit to campus nurse (see "How to Print Knowledge Checks" at bottom of this site)
Print and complete all five Insulin Calculation Worksheets and submit to campus nurse
Print Attestation Statement (UDCA) - complete and submit to campus nurse
Schedule an in-person training with campus nurse
Arrange a time with the campus nurse to observe a student or students receiving diabetic care
Familiarize yourself with the student(s) that you will be working with (orders & supplies)
Baqsimi (glucagon nasal powder) Training
WHO: All principal-assigned staff that will be helping cover the clinic on a campus where there is a student with doctor's orders for Baqsimi
REQUIREMENTS:
Complete UDCA training if you have not already done so

REQUIREMENTS:
Complete Seizure Training for School Personnel (HB684) if you have not already done so and submit a copy of certificate to campus nurse

WHAT: Educational videos by the American College of Surgeons
WHO: All nurses that need a refresher and all principal-assigned staff that are being trained to administer tube feeds

WHO: All district employees whose duties at the school include regular contact with students
