My Teaching Philosophy
Every place has a story to tell. One of my goals is to help my students discover the story of Texas and how that story continues to impact their own stories. One of my goals as a teacher is to help your child connect with the world around them and learn more about how they fit into this world. Most importantly, I want to empower them to be citizens that can influence the world for good.
Whether it is traveling to Africa, the beautiful islands of the Philippines, or even the mountains of New Mexico, I can’t seem to get my fill. I love seeing new places and learning about the cultures of different people.
Although students may not use their knowledge of Texas History in their everyday lives, they will use the skills we learn in class. Your student will learn how to collaborate with a team and how to use history as a lens to prepare for the future.
This is my sweet puppy, Penny, and she is alabradoodle. She is a sweet ball of sassy fluff! She is curious and loves to chew on everything- paper, books, clean laundry, and especially stinky shoes. She has a million toys but her favorite thing is going into the bathroom, unrolling toilet paper, and chewing it up into tiny pieces.
