Vandegrift High School AVID

How do I apply for the AVID elective class at Vandegrift?

1. Complete an APPLICATION. Email completed applications to Peggy Morisset, VHS AVID counselor, or turn in to the VHS Counseling office.

Incoming and Current High School Student Application (students who are currently NOT in AVID)

If you are a current AVID student, complete the following and return to your current AVID teacher.

2. INTERVIEW with the Vandegrift High School AVID Site Team. Once applications are received, students will be notified of date and time for the interview. No preparation is needed. The interview is an informal time for the committee members to meet applicants face to face and will occur at the students' middle school campuses in the Spring. Summer applicants will interview in August.

3. NOTIFICATION of acceptance into AVID will occur before the last day of school. If there is a delay, applicants and their parents will be notified. Summer applicants will be notified within a few days of the interview.
